Former “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast member Meghan King confirmed her split with Cuffe Owens, President Joe Biden’s nephew.
King, 37, took to Instagram Monday to share a comment on the “state of (her) marriage” two months after she said “I do” to the 42-year-old attorney.
“I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating. This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows – and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams.”
She added that she asks for “grace and gentle kindness” as she and her family of three kids “navigate this labyrinth of grief.”
The president and first lady Jill Biden attended his nephew’s wedding in Pennsylvania in October.
At the time of their nuptials, King shared a photo of her and Owens.
“We just knew,” she captioned the photo of the two embracing; Owens in a navy suit and King in a white Rasario blazer dress with sheer gloves and a short, white veil.
“Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Owens,” she added.
The event was held at Owens’ home. King shared a couple of photos on her Instagram Stories of young children dressed in white enjoying vanilla ice cream cones with rainbow sprinkles during the wedding reception.
The couple went public with their relationship the month prior, when King shared a photo of the two hugging on Instagram on Sept. 25: “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like ‘my main squeeze’ … so just meet my man,” she captioned the post.
The “Real Housewives” alum was previously married to Brad McDill from 2007 to 2011 and retired MLB player Jim Edmonds from 2014 to 2021, with whom she shares three children: Aspen, 5, and twins Hayes and Hart, 3.
