Applications are being accepted for the Paul Bruhn Historic Preservation Grant. Building owners in downtown Cambridge are eligible to receive funding (minimum $50,000 up to $100,000) for building preservation projects (roof, window repairs, point tucking), renovations (second or third-floor housing or revitalization of space), etc.

The annual meeting and potluck at the Ark Spring Baptist Church is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m.  Jan. 30. The church is located on Ohio 284 near The Wilds. All events are weather and COVID permitting.

The Longaberger Family Foundation and the I’m a Child of Appalachia Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) awarded grants to K-12 public educators and nonprofit service providers in 2021. 
Cambridge High School received a grant to support the Ohio Model United Nations State Conference Travel Fund project. The Ohio Model United Nations is a three-day global education simulation experience that allows students in grades 5-12 to learn about the world’s largest international peacekeeping and humanitarian organization. Approximately 30 students from Cambridge High School attend the annual state conference yearly. Funding will be used to pay for the students’ attendance fees.

The Guernsey County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold its organizational meeting at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the Guernsey County Board of DD Conference Room, followed by the regularly scheduled board meeting.
Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Board will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Kent State University Tuscarawas, 330 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia
The United Way of Guernsey, Monroe, and Noble Counties awarded Cambridge High School with a Southwestern Energy Food Insecurity Grant in the amount of $2,500 this fall. The grant request was for $1,700 worth of shelf-stable products to distribute to students from the Bobcat Store.
