Have you been reading about lifestyle changes that could impact your Alzheimer’s progression? The McCance Center for Brain Health and Mass General Hospital are recruiting study participants to substantiate this hypothesis.
Within the last 40 years, evidence has demonstrated that lifestyle changes may reverse the progression of coronary heart disease, early-stage prostate cancer, and other chronic conditions. These conditions all share underlying biological mechanisms, including chronic inflammation and oxidative stress–both of which are seen in Alzheimer’s Disease.
We are recruiting participants with mild Alzheimer’s Disease to participate in a research study of a similar lifestyle intervention to see if lifestyle changes may slow down, lessen, or potentially reverse the progression of Alzheimer’s. Participants in this study will have robust support to make changes to their diet, and participate in daily exercise, stress management, and group support.
Please visit the study page at rally.massgeneralbrigham.org or call 617-643-4802 to learn more about enrolling in this study. To learn more about Alzheimer’s research, visit the Alzheimer’s Clinical & Translational Research Unit at ACTRU.org.
The brain is the only part of the body that doesn’t get preventive care.
Help us leverage our unique positioning in the brain health community to make the scientific discoveries needed to allow us to accurately measure brain health and integrate preventive strategies into primary care.
