BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
Business Insurance on Thursday announced the winners of the 2021 U.S. Insurance Awards during a virtual awards presentation.
Headlining the event was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Brian Duperreault, executive chair of American International Group Inc. The award presentation celebrated his many achievements across his nearly 50 years in the insurance business.
In addition, teams of professionals from across the industry were honored for specific projects they had collaborated on in the field of commercial insurance.
Finalists in 10 categories were selected by Business Insurance staff from more than 180 nominations.
The winners were selected by a panel of more than 40 risk managers who independently assessed each of the finalists.

The awards, which began in 2017, also raise funds to support the Business Insurance Scholarship. This endowment, administered by the Spencer Educational Foundation, aims to open new opportunities to provide scholarships to risk management and insurance students, as well as grants to support risk management and insurance programs, and to develop programming at universities without risk management degree programs, including HBCUs.
