Istanbul Basaksehir are hoping to sign Aston Villa winger Trezeguet on loan.
The Turkish side have been trying to complete a deal over the past few days and are still waiting for the green light from Villa.
Trezeguet scored the winning goal for Egypt in their 2-1 win over Morocco in the African Cup of Nations on Sunday and is now back to full fitness after a long period out with a knee injury.
He's slipped down the pecking order at Villa following the arrival of Leon Bailey, who is due back from injury this month, and Philippe Coutinho.
Villa are rebuilding their squad and are expected to let Trezeguet leave as he seeks regular game time.
The 27-year-old changed representatives recently ahead of the transfer window. He has just 17 months left on his contract.
Trezeguet scored nine goals in 64 appearances for Villa, including a number of important strikes during Villa's survival season in 2019-20 and the memorable match-winner in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Leicester City.

Newcastle United are not only looking to secure further incomings before tomorrow's 11pm deadline, but also to trim down their now bloated squad.
Jeff Hendrick, the midfielder, is free to depart on loan now that Bruno Guimaraes has completed his move to Tyneside, and Middlesbrough are interested in the Republic of Ireland international.
Freddie Woodman, the goalkeeper, is also available for a temporary move, with AFC Bournemouth keen to rekindle their interest, having almost signed the 24-year-old during the summer, only for an injury to Martin Dubravka leading to it being pulled. Newcastle have four goalkeepers in their 25-man squad, meaning moving on a shot-stopper easily clears a space, which is needed to accommodate their January additions.
Ciaran Clark and Emil Krafth, the defenders, are also on the fringes of the squad now and, should Dan Burn complete his £13 million move from Brighton & Hove Albion, one or both could depart.
Elliot Anderson, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, has been given permission to gain game-time out on loan, with Luton Town understood to be keen among several teams keen on him, while Matty Longstaff is also being offered on loan to EFL clubs.

Chelsea prospect Tino Anjorin is set to join Huddersfield Town until the end of the season after cutting short his loan spell at Lokomotiv Moscow.
Anjorin joined Lokomotiv at the beginning of the season, with the Russian side holding a £17 million option to buy this month.
However, a combination of a broken metatarsal and Ralf Rangnick’s departure to Manchester United have meant that loan spell hasn’t worked out. Click here to read more.

Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst is undergoing his medical ahead of his move to Burnley for a fee of around £12 million plus add-ons.
Burnley are have been on the hunt for an experienced striker ever since the departure of Chris Wood to Newcastle for £25 million earlier this month.
Weghorst will arrive with an impressive goalscoring record, netting 70 goals in 144 games for Wolfsburg and the hope is the 29-year-old's goals will be instrumental in helping Burnley to safety.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Bruno Jordao is set to join partner club Grasshoppers on loan for the rest of the season.
The £6 million man has just returned to fitness following almost a year out with a knee injury.
He played his first 90 minutes since 2020 when featuring and scoring for Wolves Under-23s against Burnley last week and declared himself ready for Bruno Lage's first-team squad when speaking to The Athletic. However the 23-year-old also accepted a loan move could be possible and that playing regularly again was a priority.
Jordao has been a regular on the bench in recent weeks and made a brief appearance against Sheffield United in the FA Cup, but with Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker, plus youngster Luke Cundle, as midfield options Wolves feel it's better he moves out on loan.
Jordao has travelled to Zurich today to complete the move. He'll join fellow Wolves loanees Leo Bonatini and recent permanent signings Hayao Kawabe and Jeong Sang-bin at Grasshoppers, with whom Wolves have an official partnership.
Elsewhere it's shaping up to be a fairly quiet deadline day at Molineux. Unless any late first-team deals crop up the final hours will be about getting youngsters out on loan. Ryan Giles, who provided nine assists for Cardiff in the first half of the season, is believed to have a host of Championship options if he's given approval by Lage to move back out on loan.
Taylor Perry, who was with Cheltenham in League One, may also head back out on a temporary deal, while keepers Andreas Sondergaard and Louie Moulden have interest from non-league clubs with Wolves hoping the pair can get some regular football. Young Portuguese defender Christian Marques is set to stay with the under-23s for the rest of the season having not featured for Belenenses during a loan for the first half of 2021/22.

Crystal Palace are confident of securing Jean-Philippe Mateta on a permanent deal from Mainz before Monday’s transfer deadline with talks ongoing with the Bundesliga club.
The French striker joined Palace a year ago on an initial 18-month loan which included a clause to make the transfer permanent for around £14 million if Mateta started a certain number of Premier League games.
The forward has largely played a bit-part role in the period since, but a recent upturn in form has convinced Patrick Vieira that he is a player worth pursuing.
The striker was unlikely to begin the requisite number of matches stipulated in the original agreement and would be into the last year of his contract at Mainz if he returned in the summer.
As a result, the German club have proved amenable to renegotiating the size of the fee involved, with Palace hopeful a deal can be struck nearer to £8 million for Mateta’s services.
The 24-year-old, who scored in the recent wins over Norwich City and Millwall in the FA Cup, is likely to be Palace’s only incoming business on deadline day after missing out to Everton in the pursuit of Donny van de Beek.
Palace are not unduly concerned at missing out on the Dutch international given they are well stocked in midfield, and there would have been obvious implications in terms of game-time for the likes of Eberechi Eze had Van de Beek joined from Manchester United.
The young winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi could yet depart on loan, with Accrington Stanley of the third tier one of a number of clubs to have expressed an interest in securing the youth-team graduate.
