BRUSSELS (AP) — President Joe Biden is sending about 2,000 troops from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Poland and Germany this week and sending part of an infantry Stryker squadron of roughly 1,000 troops based in Germany to Romania, a senior administration official said Wednesday.

STOCKTON, Calif. (KTXL) — Police said a man was shot near a Stockton park Tuesday morning and the shooter was still at large.
Stockton police said just after 11 a.m., a 52-year-old man was shot at the intersection of North Hunter and East Poplar streets, which is located at the southeast corner of Eden Park.
President Joe Biden is committing to reduce the cancer death rate by 50% — a new goal for the “moonshot” initiative against the disease that was announced in 2016 when he was vice president.
Biden has set a 25-year timeline for achieving that goal, part of his broader effort to end cancer as we know it, according to senior administration officials who previewed Wednesday’s announcement on the condition of anonymity.
