USA Swimming and USA Track & Field have partnered to sign a single agency to package and sell sponsorships and properties for both NGBs. The two organizations have begun the selection process with a nationwide request for proposal. According to a copy of the RFP reviewed by SBJ, the chosen agency will be tasked with procuring sponsorships in categories including airline, beverage, food preparation/delivery, consumer packaged goods, payment and financial services, and cryptocurrency. The winning agency also will be responsible for engaging with potential content partners and overseeing media deals covering TV, digital and social.
The process will be led by USA Swimming Dir of Partnership Marketing Jim Fox and USATF Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer Sarah Hollis. Agencies have been asked to provide a notice of intent to respond by March 1. Pre-bid calls and a formal process for clarifying questions is scheduled to be completed by the end of March, with official proposal presentations being made by early April.

During her interview with SBJ’s John Ourand, she talks about getting her start in the industry as a field hockey coach, adopting Tennessee’s legendary Pat Summitt as a mentor, and working to give women’s sports more prominence on ESPN telecasts.
