HOLLAND — Western Theological Seminary announced Ruth Padilla DeBorst will be joining the seminary’s faculty for the 2022-23 school year.
Padilla DeBorst, who WTS called a “renowned practitioner, teacher and speaker,” will serve as the Richard C. Oudersluys Associate Professor of World Christianity.
She has experience with a variety of organizations, such as the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, Latin American Theological Fellowship, World Vision International, the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization Latin America and the Centro de Estudios Interdisciplinario.
“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Dr. Padilla DeBorst to Western Theological Seminary,” stated WTS President Felix Theonugraha. “She is thoroughly committed to raising up leaders for the church and the world, both in the United States and around the world. Her worldwide experience will bring a much-welcomed perspective to the learning community.”
A handful of area students earned Dean’s List honors at Palmer College of Chiropractic for the summer 2021 trimester.
Jacolyn Mullins of Hamilton, Connor DeWeerd, Taylor Klifman and Izabel Vandermolen of Holland and Hope O’Connor of Zeeland each earned recognition for their academic performance.
