Aseel Soueid explains the diet plan he used to get down to under 10 percent body fat.
In a new video on his YouTube channel, bodybuilder and vlogger Aseel Soueid shares a couple of the different tactics he used while eating two meals a day which helped him get down to 9 percent body fat.
First of all, he explains that he fasts for the first three to five hours of the day, sticking to caffeine, while also drinking plenty of water after waking up. Then, for his first meal, he eats high protein, high carb, low fat. For example, a bowl of oatmeal made with a scoop of protein powder, and eggs with vegetables.
“These meals are going to be higher calorie, because it’s your first meal of the day,” he says. “You’re going to break your fast within around four hours of waking up, let’s say you wake up at 8 a.m., so 12 to 1 p.m.” Soueid advises “switching your whole game plan,” however, if you know that you’re going to be eating out for dinner later that day, and eating higher protein and fat, and lower carb, in a dish like steak and egg whites.
For his second and final meal of the day, comprising of half his daily calories, Soueid goes high volume on chicken, rice, and vegetables, sticking to his high protein, high carb, low fat plan. Even playing “catch-up” on his food intake, this still comes to just under 2,000 calories for the day.
Soueid also supplements this two-meal plan with two protein shakes throughout the day, and takes a flexible approach to his diet so that he is still able to go out to dinner. When he does this, he eats higher fat, higher protein, and lower carb. “It is so much easier to eat higher fat vs. higher carb and lower fat when you’re in a restaurant,” he says.
