Brick Road Nutrition offers healthy products in downtown Ionia – Sentinel-Standard
IONIA — A nutrition store in downtown Ionia is offering a variety of healthy options for its customers.
Brick Road Nutrition is located at 432 W. Main St. in downtown Ionia. The health and wellness store opened Nov. 17 and offers products such as tea bombs and meal replacement shakes in the Ionia community.
Sherry Bunce, a Belding resident, has had interest in nutrition for a long time — working as a personal trainer and yoga and meditation instructor. Bunce said she was spending too much money on nutrition products at another store.
Bunce decided to open her own store.
“It’s all nutrition-based,” Bunce said. “Everything we sell is healthy.”
Brick Road Nutrition offers healthy products such as shake and tea bomb for now, but Bunce hopes to expand this spring to offer wellness services.
It took three months to set up the store, which Bunce said “felt like forever.” The first couple months of the business have been very busy, Bunce said.
“People usually were going to Belding or Lowell,” she said. “Now they have the benefit of just being here in Ionia.”
The products at the store help people lose weight, increase their vitamin intake and receive natural caffeine, Bunce said.
The store offers gift cards and to-go packs. Customers can save 50 cents by bringing in their reusable cups. The store also has an “Alice in Wonderland” theme to highlight once of Bunce’s favorite stories.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
