Else Nutrition Holdings is seeing its sales momentum accelerate with its plant-based toddler foods
The company said it anticipates producing the first batch of specially processed buckwheat for its infant formula in the first quarter of 2022
Else Nutrition Holdings Inc (OTCQX:BABYF, TSX-V:BABY) said it has signed an agreement to establish a specialized manufacturing site in Oregon to process and prepare Else’s proprietary specialized, demineralized buckwheat for its infant formula.
The company said it has completed the development of its production process for the demineralized buckwheat and anticipates producing the first batch of specially processed buckwheat in the first quarter of 2022.
“This is a great step in our quest for plant based clean label infant nutrition, since buckwheat is a key ingredient in our infant formula, and nowhere else in the world is it processed in such a way,” Else Nutrition CEO Hamutal Yitzhak said in a statement.
“This is a very encouraging development along our manufacturing pathway as we look ahead to launching a real and first Plant-Based, Clean label Dairy-free and Soy-free, minimally processed infant formula in the market,” Yitzhak added.
Else noted the new facility output will support the infant formula production expected during the first years. It added that the buckwheat will be processed under the strictest quality controls and standards without the use of chemicals or solvents.
Else Nutrition is an Israel-based food and nutrition company focused on developing innovative, clean, and plant-based food and nutrition products for infants, toddlers, children, and adults. The company’s plant-based, non-soy, formula is a clean-ingredient alternative to dairy-based formula.
