Low-cost Fitness Connection gym plans first San Antonio location – mySA
Fitness Connection is planning its first San Antonio location.
A Houston-based gym chain with an affordable membership is planning its first location in San Antonio.
Fitness Connection plans to open a South Park location at SW Military Drive, Suite 2003, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Fitness Connection will renovate a 73,135-square-foot space for an estimated $4.5 million with construction expected to start in February and finish in August. As always, details in TDLR filings are subject to change.
On top of a general fitness area, Fitness Connection members also have access to racquetball courts, saunas and a basketball court, all for a down payment of $10 and $10 a month.
The gym chain was purchased by Roark Capital Group in February 2019. It currently has over 31 locations in Texas and 10 more in states like Nevada and North Carolina.
