During a recent interview to shed light on his upcoming food waste project with Prince Charles, Jamie Oliver gushed over his partnership with the heir to the throne, who he says is very much in tune with the growing concerns on the environment.
When asked what it’s been like to work with Prince Charles, the 46-year-old revealed that his friendship with the latter goes back by two decades.
He’s actually lovely. I’ve known him for about 22 years. I really like him

“He’s actually lovely. I’ve known him for about 22 years. I really like him,” Jamie said.
“He’ll be a good one (king).”
The father of five continued to heap praise of Prince Charles, adding: “I think it’s fair to say that he’s always been seen, maybe more of like the hippy in the family. A lot of his beliefs around the food system and organics have come true.”
Jamie believes that the senior Royal, who recently urged the world’s biggest companies to make ethical investments, has always been ahead regarding climate change, having created a £7.5billion fund to protect the planet from destruction in January.

The Everyday Super Food cookbook author has been impressed by Prince Charles’ motivation in bringing a change to the climate crisis, with the hopes of safeguarding the planet for future generations or risk destroying it all.
“He’s been waving the same flag for 40 years. And he was early.
“Even in my job, you can be early and everyone’s like, ‘what? What’s the matter with you?’ But actually, he’s pretty much on point.”
Their project, titled Food for the Future, will be introduced into secondary schools in South West and central Scotland as early as next year.

Students will have the chance to get hands-on experience with growing vegetables and growing food while also learning about food processing factories and the importance of recycling.
What’s more, they will also be taught how to make healthier and low-waste meals at home.
Meanwhile, Jamie revealed earlier this week that his wife Jools was not against welcoming another baby in the near future, despite having already endured five miscarriages.
The couple has been trying for a sixth child and are already parents to Poppy, 19, Daisy, 17, Petal, 12, Buddy, 10, and River, five.

But Jools wants another baby in the house because it “gives me so much pleasure”, even though her husband hasn’t been too keen on the idea.
Speaking about their plans for another baby, Jamie told The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X: “Listen, I don’t have a choice in this. I know they say it takes two to tango. Not in my house.”
Chris chimed in by recalling a time he was with the married couple when Jamie assured him he wasn’t having any more children, but Jools’ facial expression seemed to think otherwise.
“And Jamie goes ‘Yeah, we’re done now’ and then Jools looked and went, ‘Although one more might be nice’ and Jamie looked at her. I think I walked away.”
Jamie clearly hadn’t forgotten about the encounter, saying: “It was uncomfortable!
“She’s just so maternal and she’s got so much love to give I can’t… but what do you do? I just keep saying, ‘But what about me? Don’t worry about the kids! Moi!'”
In November, Jamie and Jools adopted a brand new family member — their dog, Conker.
The Keep Cooking and Carry On star quipped that since the pup’s arrival, there hasn’t been “anyone in my family more pleased to see me.”
“I’ve only had it a month! And I think ‘yes! That’s what I want when I get home. I want somersaults and circles and trying to bite your own tail.”
