COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Destructive winds with hurricane-force gusts are highly likely Wednesday across southern Colorado.
City of Colorado Springs officials alongside leaders in El Paso County provided an update Wednesday afternoon stating there had been no loss of life tied to the wind damage. At that time, the Colorado Springs Fire Department had fielded more than 600 calls compared to the average of about 200 calls on a normal day.

WARMING SHELTER:
A warming shelter was made available at First United Methodist Church. The church is located at 420 N. Nevada Avenue. City officials added the shelter was only for warming and was not equipped for overnight lodging or sleeping.
